1. Overview
This policy sets out the terms on which London Venture Club Limited (“Venture Club”) handles cancellations and refund requests in connection with membership subscriptions.
It should be read alongside the Member Terms and Conditions, which govern the membership relationship and take precedence in the event of any conflict.
All membership fees are collected centrally by London Venture Club Limited. Chapter Operators have no authority to vary fees, issue refunds, or agree cancellation terms.
2. Minimum Membership Term
All Venture Club memberships carry a minimum 12-month commitment, regardless of whether fees are paid monthly or annually. By accepting membership, you commit to the full 12-month term.
This commitment is reflected in the Member Terms and Conditions and is communicated during the application and onboarding process.
3. Statutory Cancellation Right (Consumers Only)
Where you are a consumer (an individual purchasing membership for personal purposes rather than in the course of a business), you may have a statutory right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
3.1 14-Day Cooling-Off Period
If you are a consumer, you have the right to cancel your membership within 14 days of the date on which your membership agreement is entered into (the “cooling-off period”), without giving a reason.
To exercise this right, you must notify us clearly in writing (by email to mike.mcclelland@londonventureclub.com) before the 14-day period expires. You may use our cancellation notice template below, but are not required to do so.
3.2 Early Commencement
If you request that access to membership benefits commences before the end of the 14-day cooling-off period — and we agree to do so — you acknowledge that:
- You retain the right to cancel during the cooling-off period; and
- If you cancel after services have commenced but before the cooling-off period ends, you will be liable to pay a proportionate amount for services delivered up to the point of cancellation.
3.3 Cooling-Off Period Refunds
Where you validly cancel within the cooling-off period and no services have commenced, we will issue a full refund within 14 days of receiving your cancellation notice, using the same payment method used for the original transaction.
4. Cancellation After the Cooling-Off Period
Subject to Section 3 above:
- Membership fees are non-refundable in whole or in part once the 14-day cooling-off period has expired.
- If fees are paid monthly, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current 12-month minimum term, and monthly payments remain due until that date.
- If fees are paid annually in advance, no refund of the annual fee will be issued on cancellation mid-term.
5. How to Cancel
To cancel your membership, send a written cancellation request to mike.mcclelland@londonventureclub.com from your registered email address, including:
- Your full name
- Your membership reference number
- The date from which you wish to cancel
- Whether you wish to claim the statutory cooling-off right (where applicable)
We will acknowledge your cancellation request within 5 working days and confirm the effective date of cancellation.

7. Termination by Venture Club
Where Venture Club terminates a membership for conduct reasons in accordance with the Member Terms and Conditions, no refund of membership fees will be issued.
Where Venture Club terminates a membership for reasons unrelated to member conduct, we will consider refund requests on a case-by-case basis.
8. Exceptional Circumstances
We will consider requests for refunds outside of the above terms in exceptional circumstances, such as serious illness or bereavement. Requests must be made in writing to mike.mcclelland@londonventureclub.com with supporting documentation where appropriate. Such decisions are made at the sole discretion of Venture Club and are not subject to appeal.
9. Governing Law
